Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes the handling of information by TRUELIFE8 Auto Publisher (the “App”), a private, owner-operated desktop application for the TRUELIFE8 YouTube channel. This policy applies to the App's use of Google / YouTube data; visiting this public website does not require Google sign-in.
1. What Google data the App accesses
With authorization from the Google account owner, the App requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly OAuth scopes. This permits the App to upload videos to the authorized channel and read relevant YouTube channel information, video identifiers, metadata, processing status, and visibility status. The App does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, or Google account passwords.
2. How Google data is used
The App uses this information to verify the correct channel, submit approved videos and associated metadata, detect duplicate uploads, confirm YouTube's returned processing and visibility status, and maintain publishing and error-recovery records. The App does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or make it available as a public dataset.
3. Storage and security
OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are stored on the operator's Windows computer in a locally restricted folder. Upload identifiers, timestamps, metadata, file hashes, and processing outcomes may be retained in local publishing logs for integrity checks and recovery. The App does not run a public database of Google account data. Local access is restricted using operating-system permissions; no security method can guarantee absolute protection.
4. Sharing and outside services
Video files and metadata approved for upload are sent to Google / YouTube to carry out the requested publishing operation. Google user OAuth tokens are not intentionally sent to third-party creative services. Separate creative tools may process story prompts or original artwork for production; they are not given the connected Google account's OAuth credentials through this App. Google and YouTube process uploaded content under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.
5. Retention and deletion
The operator may retain local publishing logs, video IDs, and content evidence to prevent duplicate uploads and maintain an audit trail. Google OAuth credentials may be deleted when the App is disconnected or retired; relevant local records can be reviewed and deleted by the operator, subject to operational integrity needs. Removing local authorization does not itself delete videos already published on YouTube.
6. Your control and revocation
The connected account owner can revoke the App's access at any time through Google Account third-party connections. The channel operator can also remove locally stored OAuth credentials and discontinue the App. Revocation prevents further authorized API requests unless access is granted again.
7. Public website and hosting
This static website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard technical request information to deliver the site in accordance with its own policies. This website does not itself collect Google OAuth tokens, provide Google sign-in, or operate an advertising tracker.
8. Policy updates and contact
This policy may be updated as the App changes; updates will be posted here with a revised effective date. For questions relating to the TRUELIFE8 channel and its App, visit the official TRUELIFE8 YouTube channel and use any contact method listed by the channel operator.
Google API user data is used only for the purposes described above and in accordance with the applicable Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
